CURRICULUM
Week 1. Introduction and Regulations-
During this week, students will set themselves up to win with the right expectations for legal middlemanning government service contracts for their business.
Students will gain confidence to operate their middleman business in a way that is legal and consistent with the federal regulations. By understanding the federal regulations, students will understand the situations where they can and cannot “middleman” a contract, as well as how they can formally bid contracts with no past performance.
Week 2. A Winning Offer-
This week teaches students how to formulate a winning offer that is built off of what the government is actually buying, instead of guessing or making assumptions. This week also places strong emphasis on building your book of business of service contracts and what that can look like in earnings after a few short years.
This is the most crucial week in the entire training. If followed properly, students will leave this week with alignment that will allow them to start bidding and winning contracts quickly. If this lesson is skipped, all progress will be slowed until it is completed.
Week 3. Reading & Outlining
Solicitation Proposals-
Before a student begins calling subcontractors or submitting offers, they need to learn how to properly read a government solicitation and extract the information that is important for their decision making. This week teaches the student how to “walk before they run” by taking them through numerous solicitation reading examples, and then taking what they’ve read, and turning it into an outline to tee-up their future proposal response.
Week 4. Pricing, Proposal Writing, Review & Submission-
Once the student has an outline and is ready to work on a real proposal, this week introduces the student to the crucial concepts to bring the proposal to life including: pricing, proposal writing, proper proposal review, submission to contracting, and proposal debriefs.
Week 5. Working with Subcontractors-
Weeks 4 and 5 can be completed in tandem, but for the sake of learning, they are broken out into separate weeks.
This week switches gears and prepares the student find and contract potential subcontractors for their projects, and to request quotes so they can complete their pricing and proposals (from week 4) to submit their final offers.
Lessons in this week include: The Rule of 2 with Subs, Sub Site Visit Checklist, Subcontractor Call Scripts, Requesting for Quote from a Sub, and Markup from a Subcontractor’s Quote.
Week 6. Contract Management-
If you’re going to build a long-term viable business, it’s not enough to just win a government contract. You need to perform and manage the contract after it’s awarded.
This week teaches students what to immediately once they win they win a contract. It also covers contract earning multipliers which shows students how to get the most profitably out of their contracts, as well as contract management, so that they are doing a good job with the contracts that they have won before winning others.
Lessons in this week include: The Rule of 2 with Subs, Sub Site Visit Checklist, Subcontractor Call Scripts, Requesting for Quote from a Sub, and Markup from a Subcontractor’s Quote.
